Watermelon Ice Cream Tart
Make summer last forever with these colorful watermelon tarts!
Ingredients
- Green tea tart dough:
- 3 ½ ounces unsalted butter, room temperature
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 ¾ cups cake flour
- 1 tablespoon matcha green tea powder
- 3 watermelon ice cream bars
- Jelly liquid:
- A little less than ¼ cup of water
- ½ teaspoon agar-agar
Steps
- Bring water and agar-agar to a boil in a pot to make the jelly liquid.
- Next, make the green tea tart dough.
- Add the sugar to the room temperature butter and mix well.
- Add the egg yolks and continue to mix, then add the sifted cake flour and mix gently with a rubber spatula.
- When it comes together in a ball, wrap with plastic wrap and chill 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Spread thinly in a tart pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
- Then, remove the sticks from the watermelon ice cream bars, separate into the red and green parts, and place them into bowls to melt.
- Mix the jelly liquid into each.
- Pour each into the green tea tart shell, and chill until set.
- Cut into pieces for the desired size.
