Drizzled with honey and stuffed with cheese, this prosciutto-wrapped pear pastry is deliciously sweet and savory.
1 ripe pear
1 sheet puff pastry, cut into strips
1 puff pastry leaf
1 ball mozzarella cheese
5-6 slices prosciutto
Wash and pat dry pear.
Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.
Cut pear in half and scoop out the core with a spoon.
Cut mozzarella cheese in half and push into each pear half.
Put the pear back together so that it looks like one whole pear.
Wrap the pear with prosciutto slices and sprinkle liberally with flour.
Wrap pastry strips all around the pear. Once it's completely encased in puff pastry, decorate the top with a puff pastry leaf.
Bake for 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees C.
Serve with a drizzle of honey.
