Whole Pear Pie With Prosciutto
Drizzled with honey and stuffed with cheese, this prosciutto-wrapped pear pastry is deliciously sweet and savory.
Ingredients
- 1 ripe pear
- 1 ball mozzarella cheese
- 5-6 slices prosciutto
- Flour
- 1 sheet puff pastry, cut into strips
- 1 puff pastry leaf
- Honey
Steps
- Wash and pat dry pear.
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.
- Cut pear in half and scoop out the core with a spoon.
- Cut mozzarella cheese in half and push into each pear half.
- Put the pear back together so that it looks like one whole pear.
- Wrap the pear with prosciutto slices and sprinkle liberally with flour.
- Wrap pastry strips all around the pear. Once it's completely encased in puff pastry, decorate the top with a puff pastry leaf.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees C.
- Serve with a drizzle of honey.
