Vitaly Paley’s iconic dinner series is back, popping up in the tea court at Headwaters on October 14th and November 11th!
Don’t miss James Beard award-winning chef/owner Vitaly Paley’s beloved Russian pop-up dinner series, DaNet! DaNet is back with new fall dates and a new location, giving guests a chance to experience a gastronomic event to remember as Chef Paley takes guests through a nostalgia-filled tour of his homeland through stories and food. For each event in this popular dinner series, Chef Paley and team will transform the Tea Court at Headwaters inside the Hotel Heathman, outfitting the two story, cozy, wood paneled venue with vintage tchotchkes, artwork and decorative elements from Paley’s family. Headwaters Executive Chef Tim Eckard will assist Chef Paley in transporting guests straight to Russia. During the course of the evening, dishes will be served to music from the Motherland and Russian is spoken. DaNet has been a personal endeavor for Paley, and guests at each dinner are treated to a transportive experience with the lauded chef as their nightly host, who on some nights may be found beginning the meal with a reading of Russian literature.
Gather with family, and friends new and old, as Chef Paley serves classic Russian cuisine with a creative and seasonal twist using Oregon’s freshest ingredients on Saturday, October 14th and Saturday, November 11th. The acclaimed dinner series has been awarded Cuisine of the Year in 2014, and picked as The Most Memorable Spread of 2015 by Portland Monthly’s Karen Brooks, and as one of the Best Portland Pop-Ups to Try Now in 2016 by Eater Portland.
Dinner will be served family style at communal tables, with one seating at 6:30 pm. Cost for the dinner is $125 per person inclusive of food, beverage pairings, and service charge. Additional beverages, such as vodka flights, will be available for purchase at the event.
