SALO is a traveling Filipino Pop-Up Feast gathering adventurous diners who dare explore regions of the amazing 7,107-island Philippine archipelago through food beyond adobo and lumpia. Please join us for a five course traditional family style dinner full of extraordinary flavors composed from local and seasonal ingredients, served on banana leaves and eaten old-school sans utensils (kamayan), and an unprecedented opportunity to explore Filipino cuisine in a unique atmosphere. Pares literally means “Pair”, because this meat dish is best served with a pair of garlic fried rice or "Sinangag" and beef soup.
Pancit Malabon
Second Course
Pancit Malabon is a dish that originated in Malabon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is a noodle dish flavoured and coloured with fish sauce, crab fat and annatto seeds. It is topped with different seafood items as well as crushed pork cracklings and sliced hard boiled eggs.
Third Course
A flat pastry filled with a jam made of muscovado sugar and sometimes sprinkled with sesame seeds.
